    Default S. Hartnell +3rd for F. Forsberg +6th | Multi-Cat League

So what say you (for league in sig)?

    I GIVE:
    S. Hartnell (CBJ) | G:14| A:13 | +/-:-7 | PPP:8 | SOG:76 | FOW:0 | HITS:77 | BKS:20
    3rd Round Pick

    I RECEIVE:
    F. Forsberg (NSH) | G:10 | A:15 | +/-:-3 | PPP:12 | SOG:107 | FOW:1 | HITS:54 |BKS:20
    6th Round Pick

I'm currently in 2nd place and really thinking I could make a run for it this year. I have been leading the league in G, A, +/-, PPP all season but lack in some peripherals, especially SOG.

    What do you think?

My initial reaction is to say Forsberg easily, but in a H2H league, you don't have many guys that offer hits (Landy and Jenner along with Hartnell). While you are adding to one category (SOG), you will soon be looking for hits.

If you think you can handle losing the hits that Hartnell offers, then I'd say do the deal.

For the sake of keepers, yes. But you want help to win this year? You have to keep Hartnell then

Neither will be keepers for you but what I would do is exploit klingberg for the peripherals - especially if you aren't keeping him as his return should be huge in a league like this

I've been considering the same, but these forums have deterred me from doing so, as he is "the real deal" and all. But in a multi-cat league like ours, he's just not as strong - doesn't hit or even block many shots and his SOG totals are quite low.

We only have one keeper for defencemen and the guy I'm looking to trade with has S. Weber, so I doubt Klingberg would be a keeper for him either.

Axeman, Dobber - thanks for your input. Hartnell has been tearing it up recently and his peripherals are stellar too. It would be ahrd to part with, but was just trying to bulk up my SOG totals. I also have J. Faulk who has a ton of hits and a flavour-of-the-week player (this week it's Martinez) who i can always sub out for a Gudas or something if need be.

So guys, I pulled the trigger on the following:

    I GIVE:

    John Klingberg
    3rd Round Pick

    I RECEIVE:

    Filip Forsberg
    Alexander Barkov
    7th Round Pick

Both guys should bulk up my SOG nicely (Forsberg has 100+ SOG already) and Barkov will contribute more to my FOW category. I lose a stud in Klingberg but, IMO, he just isn't as ideal in our league as his peripherals are weak. He gets a ton of pts, yes, but I'd imagine Barkov + Forsberg would definitely equal out to Klingberg's production by EOS.

Would love your thoughts on the trade.
