A Crosby/Giroux swap

First league in sig.

I have Crosby and I'm kinda trying to bomb this year. The guy in 1st place wants him. He has Giroux, so I figure this is the best time to try and acquire him.

According to Fantasyhockeygeek and my league's setup (and pre-season), Giroux is supposed to be the 7th best player in our league. Crosby is 8th. That's kind of strange enough on its own. I have no idea how to measure anything anymore though, given how things have gone for both players this season.

What else should it take to get Crosby from me in a keep 7 format? A 1st round pick? 1st round picks are huge in this league. Players drafted in the 1st round this year:

Pietrangelo
Letang
Carter
Hossa
Schneider
OEL
Jones
Turris

My other idea: Crosby/Boedker for Giroux/Couture. No picks.

Ideally I'd like to get Benn from the owner in 4th, but I have a feeling he wouldn't even think about going for it.

What are your thought guys?? I appreciate any information here.

It would still take a lot more to get Crosby from me if I owned him. Especially in a limited keeper.

If your plan is to rebuild in a limited keeper, you always have to get picks in all of your deals!

I would want Crosby/3/4 for Giroux/1/2 as a start. If he balks at that then I would just walk away.

Interesting. I guess if he doesn't know Giroux is supposed to be better in this format....that's not my fault

So no thoughts of including Couture in the deal? Crosby/Boedker/pick Giroux/Couture/better pick?

Yeah that would be great too. Couture would be a keeper for you as well; but yeah definitely get the picks involved in that deal too.

If you can get the picks included as well as Boedker/Couture, then I would prefer that deal for sure.

Just got Crosby/Hiller for Crawford (Team 2), bought low, yes.

Crosby/Boedker for Giroux/Couture is pretty safe, unless the era of Crosby-Kessel turns up to expectations. Then again, Neuvirth/Mason may become the elite, too.

Then again, Crosby/3/4 for Giroux/1/2 is pretty tasty too.
