As the title says. I look in my crystal ball and see 2 Art Ross Trophies in his career. Thoughts?

*Poll question should be "Will Mack win an Art Ross"

I think there is a 20% chance. It's tough because he has guys like Tavares and Seguin. Right in front of him who will continue to dominate for the next decade and McDavid/Eichel etc right behind him who will also dominate. Kinda sandwiched right in between some incredible players. He himself is phenomenal but it'll be pretty tough against those guys.

He might win 1 like Benn where the totals are lower than normal and some key guys get hurt.

Benn might win another anyway though lol

Not a chance, in my opinion. I'm never very impressed when I watch him play. Unless he suddenly makes a huge shift in his game, I just don't see it.

It's possible but I wouldn't bet on it happening.

Don't see it. There's always going to be better players when he is in his prime (Tavares, Seguin, McDavid, etc.)

This is my train of thought as well. If all the stars align for a full season, it's not entirely out of the question to think it wouldn't happen but I just don't see it happening.

I think he will be in the running a few years though.

He's gonna need an electric linemate to do it.
Guys have stolen a scoring title, the Sedins have been up there, Benn (w/Seguin), MSL (w/Vinny or Stamkos)...
It can be done - but I'm not sure Landeskog on the wing is dynamic enough.
    He'll need some help.
The COL PP will also need to be electric too.

I voted no, but agree w/others... it is possible.

If I'm Vegas, I'd put the odds as 2:1 on him ever winning an Art Ross. (More unlikely than likely)

i'd say it's possible. but only if the avs rebound back to the team they were a couple seasons ago in mack's rookie year. odds arent great given who he'll be up against but he certainly has the skill to do so.

i just find it funny that in the same drouin thread a bunch of people said he had a chance of winning the art ross. yet here mackinnon is almost a flat out no.

I think MacKinnon's odds are much better than Drouin's.

I know I was one of the guys who said theres a chance Drouin could win it because I believe Drouin is a better offensive player than MacKinnon in regards to pure skill.

I think he has the skills to potentially challenge for a scoring title, but lacks the situation to likely get there. As others have said, he's going to be battling premier players like McDavid, Seguin, Benn, Tavares and the slightly older (yet should still be dominant) Crosby, throughout his prime. He also lacks that complimentary superstar that will help create points in bushels.

I think he's going to continue to grow into a top 10 scorer for many years, but I wouldn't lay cash down on an Art Ross.

...maybe if you gave me good enough odds. Everybody loves good odds.

Very good player but I don't see him pulling that off.
