3-4 cups of coffee for me. From my limited experience with energy drinks I know my body does not get along with them.
I consistently drink either 2 XL coffees from Tim Hortons daily or 2 energy drinks a day. Im wondering if that is too much or not. I dont feel jittery or anything but I dont know if it helps or not that I get Vertigo that may or may not be stress related. Thinking about cutting down my caffeine down and see how things go.

probably like 5-6 cups a year
One big mug. (prob 2-3 "cups")
I wake up at 6am to get my daughter off to school.
The coffee is my treat to bridge me from 7:30-12pm part of work.
That's usually enough stimulus to get me to 4:30pm (end of day).
Computer screens also (for whatever reason) keep me awake.
Occasionally though, if I have an afternoon in-person meeting or seminar or on-site visit... I do feel tired, like I need a boost.
ps. I had exactly ZERO cups of coffee before I had kids.
Young people "think" they are busy/tired/run-down before they have kids... nah, one doesn't know the real definition of "tired" until they have kids.
Once I had kids, the word changed. Coffee, coffee, coffee, mmmm... I needz it, I wantz it, my precious. (said in my Gollum voice).
A parent needs all kinds of {ahem} stimulus packages.
none. No caffeine is needed.
When I was 20 I use to get those big cans of Monster Energy drink 710 ml i believe + Red Bull (the bigger can) and wouldnt think nothing of it. At times I would have sleepless nights but at the time I wasnt too worried about sleep
400mg/day is the safe amount of caffeine for an adult.
Regular blend XL Tims – 330mg
Dark Roast XL Tims – 320mg.
Red Bull per small can – 80mg
Monster can – 160mg
2 XL’s is way over the safe amount for an adult lol.

Lol thats what I read. Im fairly big guy but even then I think I should cut back.
Tastes so good sometimes though lol
I like getting Cappuccinos at Tims because there is something like 150 mg caffeine but when a XL French Vanilla has 400 calories I try and stay away. XL Double Double what I normally get is 300 and thats where I draw the line lol
i used to drink 500ml of redbull a day, for some reason i could code much better when i was jacked up. did that for like a month straight and then one day i felt like i was going to get a heart attack so yea never again.
now i get a grande from starbucks every morning, although i could really use another in the afternoon that i try so hard not to buy.
need 2, only buy 1.
This past June's NHL Draft I thought I heard correctly that Match Marner and one of his teammates drink energy drinks before a game? Im no expert on energy drinks and your health but isnt that bad for your heart? I could be wrong since they are young and athletes.
My daily intake for drinks in general is:
1XL coffee
10 cups of water (5 water bottles. I just fill them up at work)
Beer at dinner, another one watching TV
OJ at night
I used to always have a pop for lunch, then one at night. Cut it back for sugar and caffeine reasons. If I have a mixed drink now, I try and find some juice mix to use. If I can’t, diet pop is used now. I know it’s just as bad for your body (aspartame) but it’s cuts on my sugar. Or I made some “Iced Tea” and used that as mix. Literally make tea, use some sugar cane, and let it cool. A lot cheaper than Nestea too.

Phaneuf does it too. it’s not great for you, but if you keep your caffeine intake down, they aren’t bad. Their diets allow them to do that without MUCH harm. Our diets tho…heart wouldn’t like the sudden hit.

I always bug my brother about DIET POP Lol. He always drinks that stuff because he doesnt want to drink sugar. I use to drink DIET but vowed to not drink that stuff all year (2015). I use to go to mcdonalds quite a bit and a lady there said she always knew it was us when we ordered because we were the only ones who would order 2 big mac combos up sized with diet cokes rotfl
Zero amounts per day for me. I don't have kids yet, though. I don't plan on becoming a coffee drinker, but we'll see how that goes.
I'm also super tired today, as I begin my work day.
If I worked an office job I think Id drink more coffee. I work a job that is mainly labor related (not hard labor, mostly walking) and get worried about drinking too much caffeine since I get my heart rate up to 130-150. So at work I try and tone it down lol
