    Default Ryan Strome next contract

Any guesses on what his next contract will be after his ELC expires this year?

His slow start has me thinking small bridge contract but not sure how much.

I have no idea, it could honestly be a very tactful move by the Isles to demote him because it keeps his NHL stats down limiting his arbitration leverage.
Also the Isles have that whole "sign or sit" mantra they use with their youngsters.

If he played the whole season and shined like many of us think he could, he would be inline for maybe a 5x5m contract.
But I agree it'll be more of a bridge-type deal... in the $4m range, perhaps.
Maybe something similar to what Ry-Jo got a few years ago. ($12m over 3 years... inflated for modern day... maybe $8m over 2 years)

Definitly a bridge deal. I won't be surprised to see it in the $3-3.5M range but a lot will depend on what happens the rest of this year. If he ends up staying in the AHL for the rest of the year (I would be surprised if that happens) then I could see his bridge deal being cheaper, more in the $2.5 - 3M range.

As comparables, Hubs got 2years, 6.5 I believe. Anders Lee got 4 years 15M. I would guess something similar to those

This could be one that drags on for a while next summer. The Isles are going to try hard to keep the cost down.

If he doesn't pick it up, it may even be a one year deal around 2mil.
