    Question Impact of McClavicle

I'm in a weird points-only league where rosters are set in the pre-season and are stuck for the year. We are allowed one trade. Salaries are based on ppg from the previous year with rookie salaries determined by commish. With McDavid out for months, I'm pretty sure this is the worst gap in production I'll sustain for the year and so it's probably time to cash my trade.

Commish set McDavid at $75 so I can replace him for anyone who put up .75 ppg or worse last year. Who are your top three picks (in order) from the following list of players of interest?
    Krejci
    O'Reilly
    E. Staal
    Hossa
    Sharp
    Klingberg
    Tatar
    Nyquist
    Hall
    RNH
    Subban
    Brassard
    Burns
    Stastny
    JvR
    Little

    Thanks!

    Wow, lots of talent available

    Hall, Nyquist, Krejci, RNH, Tatar

    Klingberg, Subban, Burns

If Hall and Krejci were not so injury prone, I'd advocate getting one of them, but they bandaid boys. RNH and Tatar are a level below IMO and the D-men available are elite.

    I'd go Nyquist 1st, Subban 2nd and Klingberg 3rd

    WW = $10

G, A, +/-, PPG, PPA, GWG, SHG, W, GAA, SV%, SO - Points Based League

    F: Guentzel (15), Point (11), Barzal (18), WNylander (15), Trochek (1), Eberle (1), Domi (4), Toffoli (1), TBertuzzi (1), Buchnevich (1), Tuch (1), Puljujarvi (1)

this a 1 year league? if so,

    Hall
    ..
    ..
    .. the rest

If it is a 1 year, your best bet would be to take Hall and hope he does not get injured and be the 80-90pts guy. Go for the win. The rest are not as elite and won't have the potential to do 70+ points..

This is posted in the keeper league section? If it's a keeper, I think the advice will be very different. If it's a one year, the responses make sense.

Go for the homerun and take Hall.
Subban is a great option too if you need d-men.
It would help to see your roster and know more about the parameters of your league, your current position, etc.
    Points-only keeper league. 12 teams. Keep any 12 players. Dress 12F - 6D - 2G.

Again, as a lead-in, this is posted in the wrong forum. Apologies.
The league is one-year, points only. You get $1000 to spend on up to 16 skaters (no restrictions), where their "salary" is $100*(last year's points per game). So in essence you want a team full of high-end consistent players unlikely to get injured and a bunch of player who will surpass last year's totals. The bottom value per player is $35 and this is what most rookies go for, though some are priced higher at the commish's discretion.
    My roster this year is
    Ovechkin
    Giroux
    Stamkos
    Kucherov
    McDavid
    Kessel
    Hall
    Eichel
    Mackinnon
    Lucic
    Kadri
    Kuznetsov
    Yakupov
    Niskanen
    Semin
    Ehlers
and I'm currently in 9th of 115 teams.
I suppose that instead of dropping McDavid, if he's going to come back and produce at some point, it might be just as good to drop Semin. However, I can only replace a player with another player of equivalent value. Because the commish priced McDavid at $75, I have all that talent above to choose from. Dropping Semin leaves me with only other options at the $35 range to choose from. This would include Connolly, Panarin, Larkin, Zajac, Rieder, Domi, Bennett, Rattie, Jaskin, Virtanen.
Most of the other teams have McDavid as well so I expect Monday will bring a big flood of trades (trades are only accepted Mondays).

    Thanks for the feedback.

Hilariously, I only just realized that I already had Hall on my team. Because this is the type of roster that you set once and then you only have to be hands-on when you want to make a trade and otherwise just kind of check in every now and then, it had been a while since I checked my roster. Facepalm.
