Default DeAngelo Continuing to Light It Up

Been keeping an eye on him and he now has 8pts in 9 games. Including two tonight. Wish I could watch some games to see how he looks but that's impressive. I still think he won't be an NHL regular until 2017 but I'm glad I have him.

I agree that I think there will be some time before he becomes a regular defender for the Lightning but he has some real offensive potential

A point per game in his rookie season is quite impressive in deed.

I was going to write to know your opinion as when is he going to be a regular in TB.

I was thinking as early as next year.

I think he has Mike Green offensive upside.

Definitely agree with the Mike Green comparison. I think he can make the team next year bit it make take a few years for him to produce because of all the defenseman in front of him

Crazy to think so many teams passed him over because of the classic "character issues".

I remember watching him fall in the draft. Funny how teams pass over guys like that. I still think the Islanders got a steal when they drafted Ho-Sang

Wow, very nice. I'm thinking mid-next year for his full-time promotion. Great start, this is what I was waiting to see

Exactly the type of production I was hoping to see from him. I'd love to hear some reports on how his two-way game has looked. If he can make strides in that department, a mid-season injury or two could open the door for him.

Slater Koekkek is in front of him for now, however I could see both of them cracking the roster next year with Coburn going to Free Agency and a need to shed cap space to afford the impending raises to Stamkos, Kucherov and Killorn.

With all the vets Tampa will have to move in the next two years he should be up full time pretty soon. Start of 2017 season at the absolute latest.

Good to hear. I just hope he is not being too sheltered at the AHL level so he isn't being groomed to be only an offensive specialist as he'll need to be a quality defender at the NHL level to stay in the lineup!
Then again, Tampa is deep on D so maybe they could afford to shelter him as a 6th dman to produce offence.

And with his good production I've already been sent an offer from a GM of Teravienan for DeAngelo straight up.
