Ah, good times those were. Different times now in the NHL with the offense all dried up. Last year's Art Ross winner only had 87 points, so 70 is pretty decent.Originally Posted by yougo

he has elite hockey sense and playmaking ability, with solid net front presence and a heavy shot with a history of scoring at every single levl. His only average tool is skating.I got no rep on this here board. But I'll go ahead and state my opinion anyway!
I just don't see him as anything more than a regular 60-pt forward. He plays a surprisingly strong defensive game, and has nice instincts around the net. But I don't see anything transcendent.
So no, if I were to wager, I'd take the under on 70.

Radek Bonk, mike fisher, Havlat, Heatly, Hossa, McEachern, Michalek, Bryan Smolinski, Spezza, Todd White (144pts in 130games), Yashin all had good yrs for the Senators, then some went poof production wise.
Also to say he’s the best forward since Alfy left isn’t that big of a statement. Alfy left only 2 seasons ago, and Stone showed up last yr, so at best there was 1.5yrs without a player the caliber of a possible HOF-er.

I hope he doesn't even hit 60, but it's because I hate Ottawa. For Stone owner's sake, I hope he hits 70. I wouldn't put it as "likely", but there's a chance.
