Keeper League - Palat vs. Monahan vs. Bobrovsky

Im trying to decide who to keep in a 14 team keeper league (keep 8 players each, any position).

• Points only (1 for goal, 1 for assist, 2 for win, 2 for shutout).
• We have 3C, 5W, 1G, 6B.

My keepers are:
P. Kessel
V. Tarasenko
R. Johansen
N. Kucherov
T. Hall
B. Holtby

Trying to decide between keeping Palat, Monahan or Bobrovsky. Any help or suggestions would be great!

I would go with Bob 100% and i'd have to pencil Monahan in for the second.

Bobrovsky is the best player of the 3, but you already have Holtby... so depends on one major thing:

Is it a daily league? If so I would keep Bobrovsky and maximize starts between him and Holtby.

If it is a weekly league, I would go Monahan. Because I dislike keeping a guy that will sit on my bench for majority of the year.

Is there a possibility of trading Bobrovsky for a keeper Centre that is better than Monahan? Or combining Monahan and Bobrovsky for a better C or W.

If you keep 2, its definitely Bob and Monahan, but I would still try trading Bob for a forward to a team that needs a goalie.

Bob is your 7th (having two good goalie in a 14 team league is a great bargaining chip at worst.)

Palat would me my choice for your last keeper.

If it's "daily starts", I'd need to see the "Same Night Tool" to see how many conflicts between Holtby & Bob for that 1G slot.
If it's "total season points", I don't see any way that Bob (CBJ) outscores Holtby (WAS)

It's probably Monahan/Palat for me... mostly because of the "1G" slot.

Since you already have Holtby, I would recommend Palat and Monahan. Palat completes your 5 wingers and Monahan is a potentially elite centre to add to your keepers.

The only other option I see here is packaging Bob with someone for an upgrade.

The league is a daily one and trades are not opened until post draft (really stupid). This allows me to maximize goalie starts between these two. With this in mind, it sounds like Bob and Monahan are the top choices. It is tough dropping a guy like Palat.

Just as a note:

Washington & Columbus play on the same night 41 times.

This means:
41 games from Holtby (if he start those WAS games)
41 games from Bobrovsky (if he starts those CBJ games)
41 games from ONE OF... (you'll have to choose IF they both start)


In other words... if Holtby plays 70gp and Bob plays 70gp... that's not what you'll get with a 1G format.
You'll get something more like Holtby's 70gp and maybe 40-45 from Bob.

Just make sure you understand that.
