    Default Rank: Strome, Kuznetsov, Scheifele, Huberdeau

    Over the next 3 years how would you rank the value of these players and what are reasonable expectations for their points?

    Strome
    Scheifele
    Kuznetsov
    Huberdeau

    Currently own kuz in dynasty but might be moving him cause he hasn't produced yet and Im worried he may top out as a 55-60 point guy. I've been very high on him but if it helps my team I may be looking to move him for one of the mentioned players.

    I think you correct on Kuz being a 55-60 pt guy.

    Based on the next 3 years I would rank:

    Huberdeau = 70+ pt upside possibly as soon as this year
    Scheifele = 65 points
    Strome = 60+ likely by next year
    Kuz = 55-60

    In the shorter term I like

    Huberdeau = 65+
    Scheifele = 60
    Strome = 60
    Kuz = 50

    This mostly has to do with the depth chart players ahead of the kids.

    Kuz in particular not only has to deal with the depth charts but a coach who does not give kids enough ice time IMO

    Long term I like
    Scheifele Sky is the limit for this kid especially when he fills out
    Strome unless he skates with JT then I would bump him up to Scheifele level
    Huberdeau mostly because I see him a playmaker type rather than a finisher
    Kuz (unless he gets traded or washington fires Trotz)
    Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.

    Short term (this season), I'd say:

    Scheifele - 55 - 60 points
    Strome - 55 -60 points
    Huberdeau - 50 - 55 pts
    Kuznetsov - 40 - 45pts

    Long term (2-3 yrs)

    Strome - 60 -65pts
    Scheifele - 60 -65 pts
    Huberdeau - 55 - 60 pts
    Kuznetsov - 50 -55 pts

    All of these kids are close are far as potential goes. All are future top six players but I don't really see any of them as a top player in the game that would push them into the 70+ point range.

    So they're all close but it pretty much seems most people view kuz as having the lowest ceiling (as a kuz owner I want to believe something is there after his unreal khl stats). Just off his reputation I could probably pull huby or strome but would it be worth it to? I could use another RW but that would mean strome would have to play with JT.

    Going to go against the group here as I believe Kuzya actually holds the highest ceiling of that group of players.

    As for next year, to me, all 4 guys are likely to pretty close in terms of points production. Situational differences and injuries to me are the factors that will determine who is 1 and who is 4 - but can see scenarios where any one of them could be 1 through 4.

    Long term though, I like Kuz' upside the best, primarily because I think he's the most talented of the 4 and team/PP/coach/positional eligibilities/etc can fluctuate widely in a 3-year time frame.

    1) Kuznetsov
    2) Strome
    3) Huberdeau
    4) Scheifele

    Some very strong posters don't see it this way though so take my personal projection with a grain of salt.

    That's what I'm hoping for but I'm starting to get the feeling I'm wrong. His numbers were unreal in the KHL, especially compared to new highly ranked Russians like Buchnevich or Nichushkin, so I'm hoping he can improve next year. Any chance kuz can have a tarasenko-like breakout this year? He seems to have the skill and smarts but just isn't as dynamic as tarasenko.
