Or do you keep Travis in the 9 hole and go:
Tulo, Donaldson, Bautista, Edwin?
I'm really interested to see the how lineup shakes out as well. I think they'd be best to keep the order the same and have Tulo slide Reyes' spot at lead-off.
I like the idea of having high OBP guys Tulo and Donaldson getting on base a lot ahead of Bautista and EE. I'd leave Travis in the 9-hole so that the second time thru the order you have him as a second lead-off guy. I read a good article about how Maddon is doing this in Chicago, batting their rookie Addison Russell 9th (pitcher bats 8th). Maddon says it's less pressure on the rookie and he's better protected. Seems like a similar situation here solid hitters 1 and 2, power 3 and 4 and then the 2nd time thru you have a solid average guy in Travis at 9 to get things going.
Debatable whether to bat Tulo and Donaldson 1-2 or 2-1. Tulo has a higher OBP and slugging then Donaldson but both are great in either spot IMO. Don't know which one has more all out speed.
