Which player do you like better based on the scoring format in my sig? Projections, short and long-term definitely helpful as well!

I like Pulkinnen here with your league being goal-scoring heavy. Should be a 30-35 goal scorer in his prime.

As far as projections go I'd say 30-40 the next couple seasons. 60-70 in his prime.

They're close IMO but I agree that the goal heavy settings would have me leaning and ultimately going with Pulkkinen.

Thanks, Rainy! Yeah, I'm really torn on this one. I'm leaning towards tossing Fiala back into my draft pool and will most likely need to decide between (redrafting) him or taking Pulkkinen at one of my picks. I think Fiala has potential to be absolutely dynamic on an offensively-starved team for the most part. And Pulkkinen has that bomb of a shot. But will he be a small sniper who fizzles out and ultimately returns to the A before Europe? Or will he stick?

I think Fiala does have more tools that can translate at the NHL level than Pulkk (safer prospect) but not by so much that I wouldn't consider him (Pulkk) ahead of Fiala here. If the settings weren't as goal heavy I'd likely go the other way but I like the probsble (IMO) 8-10 extra goals vs the 15 or so extra assists that I feel one could provide over the other.

I definitely see that point. IF Pulkkinen sticks, he has 35-40 goal mitts. His shot is pure filth.

Fiala for me, simply for the age difference. Pulk is a late bloomer (due mostly to early injuries) and is going to be awesome, but I'll take the guy with potential to early-bloom over the guy who has late-bloomed every time (given similar tools). Pulk is awesome though.

This is my biggest concern - sticking.

I think if Pulkkinen sticks, he'll be awesome. He's harder to evaluate than most prospects as well because he's in the Detroit system - they are notorious for letting their good prospects marinate for extended periods. Part of me thinks he's a potential star and the Wings were just being the Wings by not rushing him. Part of me thinks he's a one-dimensional sniper who doesn't have the intangibles to lock down a Top 6 gig.

I guess there's no guarantee for Fiala either though. Both are runts with high-end skill. They'll either be Top 6 players or bust IMO. Neither are gritty, special teams role players.

I think Pulkkinen will stick, he looked good with Babs tippy toe injection last year. He does have some grit that showed well in the AHL playoffs last year...

With an increased role and room to spread his wings i would take Pulkkinen and his million dollar Clap Bomb over Fiala without hesitation.

I think he could stick but I don't think he'll score a ton of goals...just a hunch really. I liken it to Silfverberg and his amazing shot not leading to many goals

Points only I'd go with Fiala. Goal heavy..it's close but I'd still go with Fiala.

Both could score 25-30 G in their prime. But Fiala will have more A.

I think I would take the better overall player and that's Fiala.
