Indeed, should be fun. Trades and such will obviously impact the standings but it will be really interesting to see how FHG does.

I will say though, looking at these projections there really isn't all that much separating the top 8 or 9 teams. Really, anything could happen.

    Cool.
7 of the top 10 are in both lists.

Saanichton, Victoria, and Wheeling managed to get a top 10 projected standings score without the $$$ spent.

In a 24 team league in its 1st year, I think a top 10 rank is perfect for my team.

Can only get better, and my team is young enough to improve.

My team came in a little lower than what I expected but I'm not putting too much stock into the projections.

There are so many variables - injuries, trades, player movement, rookie impact, players far exceeding everyone's projections, players not meeting expected production, coaching changes, etc. - in addition to how close the fantasy point projections are, the final standings may not look anything like the FHG projections. I just thought it would be fun to look back and try to determine what went right (or wrong)!

    True.
And as much as I love FHG... sometimes projections don't capture what a GM can do by pure scheduling/management.
For example, each year of the RHRS (a roto league), my goalie projections always come in last and I end up projected at middle or lower half of standings.
    That's because I usually draft only 3 back-up goalies.
But throughout a season I hawk spot-start back-ups & injury replacements. Three seasons, three top three finishes - and those that have posted my FHG projection has never even been close to correct.

Right now I'm rostering 3 goalies (Lundqvist, Lehtonen, Pavelec) in a start 1G format.
I'm not sure if FHG even has a way to capture how many points I might get from a 2nd/3rd goalie... or from bench players... and I have several NHL D-men in my minors-eligible club.

So, a lot of teams could be skewed.
I think the projection rank is probably more a reflection of how solid a team's starting 19 players are - and probably captures bench & minors strength less.

Based on past year's points (i.e. drafted points), praba has a dominating lead on all of us. (I've done this calc.)

Actually, I'm a beta tester for this feature as well, and from what I can tell the scores include full value for all bench players. Goalies are listed in the team breakdown at their total value, and overlap in games played is not taken into account. So if anything the projections are a bit generous in regards to bench players. I don't think minors players are factored in, however. They are included, but I think it's mostly so that the entire rostered player pool is accounted for. I would certainly agree that there are players in the minors in this league that could make a significant difference to the standings.
