End Note: I love looking at the WHL's trades... because they all LOOK sort of like real NHL trades.
Draft picks for balance. Some minor deals, only a few blockbusters, some really active GMs... but very similar to the look of a 15-trade NHL list.
Sad the Ducks couldn't get involved.
Was working a couple different angles, but nothing pulled through.
Was close on a Stone & Karlsson deal with VV, but it didn't come together.
I guess we focus on playoffs now? lol

That was a blast. I suspect the Stone and Weber additions announce my intentions to be competitive next season. Until then, I'm gunning for that C-side ship.
Best deadline year I've seen in any league. Can't remember the last time I've had so many proposals minutes after updating my trade block.
Never traded all my picks this year (just the good ones) so proud I will be participating in the league jr. and pro drafts this time, this summer.

Best trade deadline day I’ve been a part of.
That was very enjoyable even though I never did get one to the finish line... I've had a few blockbusters over the season. Unfortunately the Generals tripped me up this week or else I had a shot at being in the mix for the last spot as well. Time to play spoiler and go for the Div 2 championship!

Ok, so let me give a go at the standing here and what the potential outcomes for the playoffs will be. We'll start off with the knowledge that the tiebreaker is the H2H record against all teams tied with. There are 8 playoff spots up for grabs.
Current Standings
1. 19-3-0 Vancouver Voodoo (GoNucks)
2. 19-3-0 Braham Pietasters (glorybe23)
3. 17-5-0 North London Nationals (Vintage Vibe)
4. 15-7-0 Toronto Fighting Turtles (Kofax)
5. 15-7-0 Manitoba Moose (GinFizz)
6. 15-7-0 Victoria Dead Hookers (Loch)
7. 14-8-0 Edmonton Road Runners (Lemmy)
8. 14-88-0 Lake Eerie Monsters (Sulla)
9. 14-8-0 Saanichton Cougars (InForAPenny)
10. 14-8-0 Grand Rapids Griffins (brakli)
Final Week Matchups
1. Vancouver Voodoo vs 2. Braham Pietasters
3. North London Nationals vs 5. Manitoba Moose
4. Toronto Fighting Turgles vs 23. Markham Waxers
6. Victoria Dead Hookers vs 15. Oshawa Generals
7. Edmonton Road Runners vs 8. Lake Eerie Monsters
9. Saanichton Cougars vs 16. Royal-City-Leafs
10. Grand Rapids Griffins vs 12. Lake Valley Thunder
Matchup Notes
- Voodoo vs Pietasters is a battle of the best for the top record in the league. Potential preview of the finals? We'll have to wait and see! Going to be a great matchup.
- The only other H2H matchup with playoff implications is the 7th Road Runners vs the 8th Lake Eerie Monsters, both sitting at 14-8-0. It's a straight up win and you're in scenario.
- Toronto Fighting Turtles, Manitoba Moose and Victoria Dead Hookers are all at 15-7-0 and in a win and you're in scenario. The Turtles face the rebuilding Waxers in 23rd, the Moose face the Nationals in 3rd and the Hookers face the Generals in 15th.
- The remaining teams at 14-8-0 face solid teams just out of the playoff picture and will have to fight it out to keep their hopes alive.
What's Locked in?
Voodoo and Pietasters: Are currently in. All that is left is who is 1 and who is 2.
Nationals: Are locked in at 3rd spot. Can take a shot at playing spoiler against the Moose.
Then it gets really messy. Let's start with the tiebreakers....
Tiebreakers
H2H Matchups

Potential Outcomes
The way the tiebreaker seems to work, is that it is your record out of all the teams that are tied. Due to that, things change drastically based on who wins and who loses matchups this week. I will try to look at a best case and worst case scenario for each team.
Turtles: Seem to have locked up a playoff spot as even if they lose, should have a sufficient H2H record against the other teams and enough fantasy points to hold down a spot. Best case they finish in 4th, worst case they fall to 7th, with an outside chance at 8th.
Moose: Best case scenario sees the Moose finishing 4th. Worst case, the Moose fall out of the playoffs, but I believe there is only one scenario in which that occurs. Moose lose, Turtles and Hookers win, Griffins and Cougars win and the Monsters beat the Road Runners.
Hookers: Also seem to have locked up a playoff spot, as even if they lose, should have a sufficient H2H record against the other teams to hold down a spot. A win will see them finishing either 4th or 6th, depending on how the Turtles and Moose finish as well. If Turtles win and Moose lose, a Hookers win sees them in 4th. If both the Turtles and Moose win, the Hookers end up in 6th. A loss results somewhere between 7th or 8th.
Griffins: Best case scenario sees the Griffins end up in 7th (Turtles, Moose, Hookers lose, Monsters or Runners win). Even with a win, they will need to watch the Cougars, as if they win and the Moose also win, the Griffins will need to beat the Cougars by 27 points in order to make it in based on total fantasy points, otherwise, the Griffins will be out. If the Griffins lose, they will also need the Monsters and Cougars to lose, and will need to beat the Cougars or Monsters by 27 fantasy points in order to make it in.
Monsters: Seems to be a win and you're in scenario. A loss will be tough, but with losses from the Griffins and Cougars as well will bring it down to fantasy points, and if the Monsters can outscore the Cougars and Griffins overall, they will make it in.
Runners: Similar situation to the Monsters, however, a loss could still see them get in if the Griffins and Cougars also lose, without having to rely on total fantasy points.
Cougars: Similar situation to the Griffins, a win and their in scenario. A loss isn't the end of the world, but the Griffins and Monsters would also need to lose, and the Cougars would need to beat out both those teams in total fantasy points as well.
So You're Saying There's a Chance...
An overlooked scenario could see the 13-9 Spitfires make it in if...
Spitfires beat Tampere 14-9-0
Griffins lose to Thunder 14-9-0
Cougars lose to Leafs 14-9-0
Monsters lose to Runners 14-9-0
The H2H Record between these 4 teams shakes out as:
Spitfires 3-0
Griffins 1-2
Monters 1-2
Cougars 1-2
Seeing the Spitfires make it in as the 8th seed.
^I award you zero points.
It is incomplete.
The Spitfires, I contend, are mathematically still alive at 13-9!
Seriously - awesome work.
My head spins thinking about how tight the race is for the final 5 playoffs spots!!!
