Question Rask or Lundqvist going forward in a Keeper.

    Please Advise:

Have both Rask and Lundqvist in an ESPN 10 Team - Keep 6 - H2H League.

    The Dilemma:
In 2015-16, the league is cutting down to 5 Keepers of Any position.
In 2016-17, the 5 keepers have to be one C, LW, RW, D, G.

Rask is 28 and the defense has weakened.
Lundqvist is 33 and has been deep in the playoffs (maybe tired) the last two seasons.

Should I sell high/moderate on Rask (or even Lundqvist) now or wait until after next season
and deal him before I have to cut down my keepers to just one goalie?

So I am exploring the trade market.
The manager I am in initial talks with has Kessel and Benn to try to get from him.

Would you trade Rask for Kessel or Benn one-for-one?
    We can do picks too.
This guy traded his #1 overall choice (chance to select McDavid) for Kessel, RNH, and Foligno and Pick #192.
    So there is that.
I won the league last season due to tie-breaker rules (lucky) and have the #10 pick in our Snake Draft.

Deal now for a LW/RW to fill out my 5 keepers or hold for this season and deal next summer?

    Thanks in advance!

i prefer rask over lundy by a hair still strictly due to age. that wouldnt stop me from trading rask for kessel or benn though. benn is probably the better choice but with hat tricks a category and you have crosby, getting kessel would be way more fun.

    I own Kessel and Benn.

Coming from the other side, I would probably take Lundqvist for Kessel. Would DEFINITELY take Rask for Kessel.

I wouldn't trade Benn for either player.

So I guess my advice would be to deal Lundqvist for Benn.

    1. Love your tagline. Nice.
    2. The Rask vs Lundy debate to me is really that close to me too.
    3. Would you try to do the deal now or wait for next off-season when I have to cut down to one keeper goalie?
    4. Rep'd. Thank you.

    @Savvy1982
    1. Hated to see Kapanen dealt from the Penguins as I own him as well.
    2. I would like to target Benn. But as a Pens fan, I want Kessel.

i would probably do it now. i absolutely HATE making trades when i 'have' to do it for whatever deadline, it hurts your leverage unless the other guy is in the same boat. kessel and benn are both top tier forwards. i would try trading lundqvist first though like Savvy1982 suggested. While goalies can hang around until their late 30s, there is a decline even if only marginal at the time being. Doesnt bode well for future years.
