Regarding money - doesn\'t the thread title say members with a 1000 dollars to lose?

I am really intriqued by this league - I heard from a guy that played with Praba last year that he insists everyone talk like a pirate on Friday\'s in the league chat.

sounds like a fun pool guys, the problem for me is there\'s no money at stake...I have a hell of a time motivating myself to compete when nothing is at stake...esp when I\'m in several other pools, they invariably command more of my attention. That plus I like to consider this site the ace up my sleeve but with the rest of you jokers on here as well it quickly becomes an 8 of clubs
Makes sense McGoo, take away the Dobber crutch and it gets pretty scary out there.

being a pirate is considered a manly job, as pirates get two types of booty

    What about ninjas and cowboys?

That\'s actually a great substitute for rock, paper, scissors. Cowboy, ninja, pirate. Me and my friends have been playing it for a couple of years.

cowboy shoots ninja who round-houses pirate, who... gets cowboy drunk? hahah, how does this work?

and mcgoo, shouldn\'t the prospect of beating shoeless be all the motivation that you need? haha.

this one is getting interesting, and if i thought i could be active enough i would sign up. sorry though, would have loved to partake in pirate day.

swashbuckler - a swaggering swordsman, soldier, or adventurer; daredevil.

swash buckler - a sheild against splashing water

Either ya be a pirate or you be afraid of getting wet.

The cowboy throws a bottle of rum in the head of the cowboy.

What you do with your hand is for the cowboy, you make a gun out of your hand using your index and middle fingers as the barrel. For the ninja, you simply make an open \"karate\" hand with the fingers adjacent to each other. For the pirate, you make a hook with your index finger. Works really well
