Heading into the dog days of summer. Just a thread where we can blow off a little steam, NOT hockey related or Dobberville related.

So what the hell irks you these days? Let the discussion begin. Can be anything under the sun.....driving, weather, bugs, telemarketers, wife or girlfriend, mother in law...bugs...bad service at restaurants....annoying co workers.....Bell...........the $ of beef, cheese and milk these days.

So have at it!!!!

For me:
1) SLOW drivers. absolutely hate people who drive 80km/h on busy two lane roads when the roads are in excellent condition. Why should I be forced to drive at your lame a@# speed.
2) People who don't use their signal lights and do the quick break and turn. Nearly rear end them every time.
3) Long lines anywhere....especially grocery stores.
4) People who hold up lines while using $.10 coupons.
5) people who litter from their cars, especially when the WHOLE McDonald's bag ends up on the side of the road.

...anywho, I could go on.....your turn.

Since we are talking summer in Toronto....

1 - Construction - I mean do we have any roads that are not being repaired?
2 - Road Closures - Do we really need to close a major artery in the city every weekend for some event/gala/marathon/charity event? There has to be space elsewhere!
3 - Cyclists - Drive me nuts. They do not obey single law or rule of the road and act like cars are on "their" road. They should all be licensed and regulated.

These are the big 3 for me. All surrounding driving and traffic.
Thankfully i spend little or no time in the car besides the commute to work.

Turning lanes that are 10 cars long and no advanced left turn signal. Worse yet, a stoplight that has an advanced left hand turn signal but does not use it.

Absolutely. Let me start by saying that I love cycling. I love going on long distance rides and have given some thought to doing some organized long rides. Plus, I love professional cycling and it is my second favorite sport. With that being said, cyclists need to get off the damn road. You are not a car and I should not have to move around you because you want to pretend that you're Chris Froome. And I'm talking about the cyclists who are not even on the shoulder but are in the drivers lane. We have some wonderful paved trails in the area. There is a 22-mile path and a 16-mile loop that is made for cyclists. Use them and stay off the f'n road!

- Drivers who stay in the left hand lane when they aren't passing anyone, even though it's supposed to be used as a passing lane. I deal with this every morning on my commute and it drives me nuts.

- Dandelions on my front lawn. F'n dandelions.

- Blackflies/mosquitos

- My ex-wife.

When there's a left-turn lane with a long line, and people will go in the land to go straight, and then signal to go into the front of the left-turn lane. Not only does that tick off the people that actually waited to turn left, but now that you've stopped traffic that wants to go straight, you've created a bigger bottleneck.

I often wonder if people who do this because they're so annoyed of traffic realize they are the reasons for the traffic issues.

Also, and I've seen this from drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians, I've never understood the point of doing something on the road where you are counting on another person to slow down and not cause an accident. Ie- cutting people off, running across the road against the light, etc. Do you really want to put your life in the hands of a stranger who could not be watching the road at that second because they're texting, turning the radio station, reaching down for some more French fries, etc.?

Totally agree. You know what people - that is a PHOTO. Why suddenly it's a big deal now. And those stupid sticks...

Drive thru attendants. They cannot get the orders correct!
People walking in the mall who stop right in the middle of the isle to talk or look around to where they are going and expect YOU to walk around them.
People who HAVE to have the last word on any topic.
