Yeah, I don't know who these Blues are better than Tarasenko. Some might say Pietrangelo - and I love him - but I'm starting to think he has a little too much "Bouwmeester" in him from a heart and intensity standpoint. I think it can be argued that Shattenkirk is the best overall D on the Blues right now, but I'm not sure he's better than Tarasenko. Backes? Loaded with intangibles but nah. Schwartz? Awesome player but I think Tarasenko is better. Bouwmeester? Not a chance in the world. Steen? Always injured and getting up there in age. Tarasenko is THE GUY the opposition focuses on stopping and he still produces and produced great in the playoffs. Let me know when the Blues have a few guys better than Tarasenko because they will certainly be something.

If the Blues want something in return, then they may have to pay the piper to get over the playoff hump. They need someone who steps it up in playoffs to teach the young guys how to win. Easier said than done.

I think Sobotka would be a nice addition if he returns.. Maybe a Dominic Moore and a Justin Williams??

Reaves doesn't do enough for me to be in that lineup.. Never really understand why Berglund is still there either??

In fantasy, I would want Tarasenko #1.. Real NHL, I think I would atleast want Schwartz over Tarasenko.. Schwartz is a heart and soul type player.. Reminds me of Parise and Toews..

Man, I don't know. I really like Schwartz and all of his intangibles but Tarasenko is a special player who could end up among the NHL elite IMO. Schwartz is so good though. As for Pietrangelo - this time last year it would have been a no-brainer but Pietrangelo is one of the "key" Blues who really needs to man-up come crunch time IMO. The more I watch him play in the playoffs, the more I feel as if he has no "extra gear" just like Bouwmeester. In the past few years I haven't seen ANY bump in intensity, production or hustle from Pietrangelo when it mattered most. I watched Shattenkirk play spirited hockey this post season and saw him angry and intense - Pietrangelo, not so much. Meanwhile, I think it's clear that Tarasenko was the Blues best playoff performer and it really wasn't close IMO.

I can't see them trading those 2 guys or Tank, but I think any other player on that team is fair game if they can get the right return.

Personally I'd be reluctant to trade Schwartz, but I think many of the other guys like Berglund, Backes, Oshie, Stastny, and Steen can fetch a decent return. They probably wouldn't get enough in return at this point for a guy like Bouwmeester.

Schwartz is better than Tarasenko? I dont see it. Tarasenko might get 50 goals one day if he ever gets a guy like Backstrom setting him up.
