Nice article. I agree he is a classic Philadelphia Flyer. I don't think anyone would disagree that Hextall made a great move in multiple regards...there's probably still a few of us out there scratching our heads at the Hartnell/Umberger deal, but moves like the Coburn deal definitely help right the ship!

I like the move. Obviously I'm content with the 1st and 3rd round picks but Gudas is an added bonus. He has untapped potential and plays the tough, in-your-face style that is a requirement to wear the orange and black. Essentially, I like him as a less expensive version of Nicklas Grossmann. Defensive defenseman who will be tough to play against.

The draft picks certainly do sweeten the pot, despite Gudas serving as the sweetner in the deal. Low cost, high reward... I agree. Definitely enough to raise optimism.
