Holtby vs. Bishop
Howdy.
I'm in a lite keeper league - 17 roster spots plus 5 bench, keep 1 C, 1R, 1L, 1D + 2 others across years while the rest are back in the pool. I am a prohibitive favourite to win my pool this year (knock on wood) and I am thinking of moving a goalie to move up in the draft next year. Goalies are valued at W=2, SO=4, L=-1, GA=-1, SV=.1. I will definitely be keeping Price but I have both Holtby and Bishop (with Bobrovsky, whom nobody is biting on, in reserve) and am wondering which one to move. Obvs, the off-season moves a team will make would have an impact, but my trade deadline is in 10 days and if I'm going to get nothing for one of these guys in the end, I'd love to move up a few rounds if I could for getting rid of one now.

I'd move bishop. He's a above average goalie on a very good team. Where as holtby is a very good goalie on a very good team with an even better coaching staff. Trotz focuses on D first and Korn is a goalie guru. To top it all off Holtby has the net to himself with no competition.

I couldn't agree more...and I have both Bishop and Holtby on my squad. Plus, There is NOBODY really waiting in the wing to take over Holtby's spot.Originally Posted by Leafs&G86

Agreed. Move Bishop over Holtby.

I'd also move Bishop over Holtby, but to be honest I'd consider which ever one got you the better pick as from now until ROS with Price + Bishop/Holtby + Bob (when he's back) you will probably be fine.

Thinking outside the box here. I'm not sure who your other keepers are but, to be honest, I'd strongly consider moving Price and keeping Holtby. Not because I think Holtby is the better goalie, but because I think Price will net you a much, much larger return and may only be marginally better than Holtby moving forward. If you can land a top skater who'd be an upgrade over one of your keepers by moving Price, I'd go for it knowing I've got Holtby who is about 95% of Price.
