Default Signs that the Oilers are improving?

Are the Oilers slowly turning the corner and heading towards fruition?

They have been pretty decent in their last 20 games for a last place team. They are 9-11. They have a 2.65 goals for average compared to 2.11 in the first 36 games. Their gaa is 2.85 in their last 20 while it was 3.52 the previous 36 games. Last year, the numbers were 2.47 for and 3.29 against. Nothing great, but a positive none the less.

What I found most impressive though is the fact that they have only lost 1 game over the last 20 by more than 2 goals and that was the 5-1 loss to the mighty Maple Leafs, so they have been a lot more competitive and possibly showing signs of their potential.

You could call it improvement or you could call it regression. Goaltending was so far below average the past year and a half it's stupid.

I'll believe it when I see them in a legitimate fight for a playoff spot. Until then it's improvement mixed with an evening out of their luck.

Improved overall play? Yes. Heading towards any substantial results? No.

if by improvement you mean theyre playing at an 11th/12th place team pace instead of dead last then yes.

Losing 7-2 against the 23rd placed Sens this afternoon - no they are not improving. Their vets and "leaders" are all dusty grinders and their best players are too young and paid too much to give a damn. They need a big shakeup as much as the Leafs do.

lol, yeah because a 21 year old C who had 52 points in 62 games as a 140 lb rookie is worth a 90 year old goaltender with a history of one good/great season followed up with a not so stellar season. Nice one Ev!

yeah I'd probably do it but RNH has been stagnating so far in his career. It's not looking too great for his future, relative to what was expected of him. Mark Stone has as many points as he does this year.

He may have been completely soured by the Oilers losing ways

Yawn, a bad team beats up on a really bad team. These two teams should never make a trade with each other, unless it's swapping AHL players........
