So my team is in first place right now (Head to Head) and we're gearing up for playoffs. My top prospects are Nylander and Pastrnak. I've got two offers: Yandle and a second rounder that will likely be 13th overall. OR Sharp and Wideman. Both these deals want both Nylander and Pastrnak. Deep down, I want you to say that my team is good enough the way it is and I don't need to give up my future, but give it to me straight.

13th overall would likely be a bottom end 2nd tier draft guy or a top end third tier. We're talking 9th or 10th overall NHL drafted guys.

If your positioned to win, then some insurance depth is always a good thing and as mentioned you have lost Shats already so I think you have to do this. Good prospects heading the other way for sure but that won't hurt you now or into the near future. I like both these deals for you. The Sharp/Wideman side gives you more overall depth, the Yandle side specifically addresses the loss of Shats. With no D points category, I would be inclined to go Sharp/Wideman, that would fatten up your numbers across the board.

I'd go with the Yandle deal. He's still one of the best D in the league, for prospects you don't know what they'll give you.

Just a note down here on our league stats. Currently Yandle and Wideman have the same points per game at 3.0. Sharp is a 3.7. The player I'd replace Sharp with is Ribeiro, he's a 2.8.

A bit risky to sell the farm like that, but then again life isn't fun without some risk. Plus with this move you improve your depth in most of your position. Losing the 1st rounder is tough, but good luck!
