So it's basically Stamkos for Holtby straight up since nothing else has value in this deal. I would hold off and look for a cheaper option in net than Stamkos.

Your trading partner is capitalizing on your desperation to acquire a useful G. Don't play into his evil plan. I own Holtby and certainly am thrilled about his level of play, but I also own Stamkos and would not trade Steve for a goalie who, frankly, has some major production swings from month to month and year to year.

You could get an above average goalie for a much lesser player than Stamkos.

Look to move a Kadri or Kreider (or both) to acquire a mid level goalie that provides good pts. With only wins and SO as points for goalies, you don't need to look at ones that have solid GAA or SV%. That really reduces the split between a high end goalie and average ones. Even a goalie like Steve Mason can potentially net you 30+ wins and 3-5 SO per year and (for some reason) has very little value in fantasy circles. I added him for next to nothing last year and he helped me win both the league and playoffs. The other benefit with a guy like Mason is that not only would be come cheap, but he also plays almost every game for Philly and not in a job share. Other lower (fantasy value) tier goalies I would look at that play a lot would be Lehtonen, Anderson, McElhinney (Bob out for awhile), Hutchison (starting to take #1)
