When you write, "... his penchant for up-selling himself and talking outside the box when it comes to hockey-cliches..." are you referring to him actually suggesting that the ushers and security at the ACC are responsible for jerseys being tossed on the ice? Maybe "Naz" should look inwardly and around himself in the dressing room as to why jerseys are being thrown and why Leaf fans are so angry.
I read this as a reactionary, knee-jerk response to Kadri scoring the Leafs' first goal in a week by a forward.
Maybe I'm not "paying attention"...
