If you told me this team was going to fail THIS badly this season I wouldn't have believed you...I mean yes, I know Vanek is a lazy piece of shit but I didn't believe he could drag down the likes of Parise, Suter, Coyle, etc. It's gotta be more than that. He may have lost the room at this point.

I agree, it's not right seeing him in a jersey that isn't red.

I wouldn't be surprised if he takes the heat for this teams performance. He shouldn't though.

When you go into the season and your possibly best goalie has MS, and apparently anger management issues, then your asking for a whole pile of other problems.

I had many uh...debates...on twitter last season with Minnesota wild fans that Vanek would not help them and it would be dumb for Minnesota to sign him this offseason. But damn. I did not think it would hurt them this bad, I just figured he would contribute as much as Dany Heatley.

I think Yeo will be fired today.

I frankly can't see this with them being so far out of it. Brodeur would be (at best) a short-term fix, and that's not what they're looking for. (At least, it shouldn't be.)

If management didn’t go out and make the team to get into the playoffs now, then I’d say he’s doing a good enough job to keeping being the coach for the future. 18-18 isn’t bad IF the team is supposed to golf come seasons end. But with money spent on Vanek, and goaltending not really a massive question coming into the yr, one of the best d-men, great young center, and Parise, this team should be gunning for a wildcard spot again. Especially when Colorado and Dallas were doing so bad.

Besides Yeo... I'm curious if there is something going on with Suter.

Last year, both Suter & Brodin were on for about 1.8 goals against per 60min (even-strength).
Brodin is still there this year.
But Suter is close to on for about 3.0 goals against per 60min (even-strength).

He's like -20 over the last couple months.
    Just awful.
Either his head isn't there, or he hasn't liked his non-Brodin D-partners... I don't know...
But besides Yeo, Suter seems a lot at fault for the poor Wild play.
Not worth his $$$ this season, for sure.

Hmm. Nope, can't find it. Anyways, it was kind've mentioned offhand in a sentence reading something like "and given the tough times Zach Parise and Ryan Suter are going through..."

Wish I could find the article. It wasn't referring to the two of them having rough seasons on the ice, it was definitely about off-ice stuff. I wonder if that was just because suter is very close with the Parise family, or if something less public is going on in his life too. I know I was really caught off guard with the sentence when I read it.

Ryan Suter's father passed away in September 2014. I found this article on Yahoo.

Hmm. I think I knew that but so much stuff has happened over the last four months that I guess I just forgot. Thanks for the link. Probably has something to do with his rough play.
