Is it time to fire Mike Yeo?

The Minnesota Wild are going through a rough stretch. The Wild have lost 11 of 13 games (2-7-4) and if the Stanley Cup Playoffs started today, the Wild would be golfing.
Currently, the Wild (18-18-5) are in 12th place in the Western Conference and are seven points out of the final Wild Card spot.

Yup, he's already dead, just doesn't know it yet. They need to hire that coach that looks like a Bond villian.

If that would make their goaltending better, I'm all for it.

But it probably won't, so I see no purpose in it.

I think Yeo might be in trouble at years end if Minny doesnt make the playoffs, regardless of how inconsistent their goaltending has been.

That doesn't narrow it down very much...

I agree with this. It sucks that he will take the fall for his inconsistent goalies but I think it's just a matter of time for him.

He's a good coach. I would be surprised to see him unemployed for long.

Hopefully he finds work somewhere he won't be asked to fall on his sword for management's inability to find league-average goaltending.

Is it "time" to fire Mike Yeo? Definitely not. He's a good coach that has a good system. Minnesota allows the 4th fewest shots against per game and allows the 7th most goals per game. Sure MAYBE they don't allow a ton of shots but the ones they do are high quality. I'd disagree with that though. They are legitimately losing games because of absolutely TRASH. Similar to why Edmonton was losing early last year, except they are way more structured and just overall better

Whether or not the coach deserves to be fired has nothing to do with whether or not he actually gets fired.

Well I know that. The OP didn't pose the question "Will Mike Yeo be fired?"

It was posed as "Is it time to fire Mike Yeo?" i.e. "Should Mike Yeo be fired?"

The answer to the first question is "Likely"

The answer to the second question is an emphatic "No"

Well after tonights debacle, yeah. Something has to be done. This team has a lot of so called talent. They keep signing highly sought after free agents and not getting results. They are out of the playoffs right now, so i'm guessing something will be done soon.
