    Default Gaudreau and Nyquist + for Giroux

    We have 29 keepers in our thirty player team, so blue chip prospects are pretty worthwhile. Other manager wants Gaudreau, Nyquist and another player in exchange for Giroux. I'm competing now. Is this a no brainer or a kick myself later?

    Go for the win. Take Giroux, assuming the other player is not of a high caliber.

    What's that 3rd player? I'd still rather have Giroux with just those 2 names in there atm.

    If the other player is not Malkin, Crosby or Stamkos then I might jump at that.

    As others have said depends on that third name but even then there aren't many names that could be added that would make me say no... out of interest who would you be picking up with the spare slots?

    As all others have mentioned. If the 3rd player is overly significant I'd take Giroux.

    Giroux would replace nyquist directly and Atkinson would be the replacement for Gaudreau. The only other hitch with the trade is that in my league's playoff weeks, the Flyers play 3 games then 2 games then 3 games, whereas Detroit plays 3 games, 4 games, and 4 games. So, for this year, Giroux wouldn't actually end up being an upgrade that would actually help me win much more than the first week.

    Even with the playoff format, I'd still do this deal...
    [SIZE=1][I] 10 Team H2H Roto (Start 3C,3LW,3RW,5D,4Bench,2G in bold)
    C: Kopitar, Getzlaf, Haula
    LW: Vrana, Svechnikov, Bertuzzi
    RW: Brown, Kase, Rakell
    D: Burns, Giordano, Hedman, Gustafsson, Josi
    G: Vasilevskiy, Rittich
    "Bench":
    IR: Malkin

    You have to make it to the palyoffs first. That's what Giroux will ensure. Hurry up and consummate this deal.

    Thing is in two games, Giroux could have more points than Nyquist in 4. You just don't know...so at the end of the day, you have to go with the best player, and that's Giroux.

    As you mention playoffs, I guess this is also a H2H league? As there are point values, it must be a H2H points league then? I would add H2H to your signature to ensure it's complete. As it stands, it just looks like a points league.

    That being said, you are being offered one of the best players in the league for non-elite players, and you are hesitating because of playoff scheduling?

    By the way, who's the other player you mentioned in your original post?
