    Default Forsberg for real?

I received an offer of E. Staal, Oshie & 7th overall next year for my Forsberg + 34th pick. I'm wondering if I have to sell high on Forsberg or if he's the real deal.

My team is pretty young and I was counting on Forsberg in my core to be a contender in 2 or 3 years.

This is a keeper points only. 10 teams.
    4C 4RW 4LW 6D & 2G.

    Here's my team right now:
    C
    Duchene
    Couture
    Seguin
    Lindhom

    LW
    Cammalleri
    Killorn
    Ennis
    Schwartz

    RW
    Forsberg
    Kucherov
    Nyquist
    Wheeler

    D
    Brodie
    Pietrangelo
    Rielly
    Gelinas
    Spurgeon
    Merrill

    G
    Lehtonen
    Niemi

Bench: Elias (C), J. Staal (C), Johansson (LW), Baertschi (LW), Yakupov (RW), Niederreiter (RW), Smith-Peley (RW), Ceci, Beaulieu, Erixon, Stalock, Bernier

My goodness is that ever a win. I think Forsberg is legit to a certain degree but that's a steal of a deal.

I see Forsberg as being a 70+ point guy especially if he has Neal on his line which seems to be the case for now. Staal doesn't fit in with your young team, and Oshie just hasn't been that good. The 7th overall could become something, but Forsberg is young and producing now. I would probably hold off if I were you.

He's eventually going to hit a cold streak or 2, as most young players do, but he is the real deal.

That is a very strong offer, though, and a tough decision. Wouldn't be a bad idea to scoop Oshie up when he's cheap. Based on the make up of your team, though, it seems that you're going through a bit of a youth movement, so it might be better for you to hold onto him.

Sell high!!! Do it now! You can get better future pieces for Staal and Oshie when they go on hot streaks. When Forsberg has 1 assist and is -5 in 11 games, and bumped off the first line... You won't be getting this kind of deal. Before the season started, Forsberg for the 7th overall pick by itself would have made you think.

How is this a tough decision? Oshie alone might be a tough decision...

I'm sending Despres with Forsberg in this trade so I don't have to drop anyone.

    E. Staal would replace Lindhom in the lineup. Yakupov instead of Forsberg.

Thanks guys for the answers... they are going both ways, I guess I need few others to make my decisions hehe.

    How do you see this?
    E. Staal should make 65-70pts for the next 3-5 years?
    Oshie 60-65pts for 3-5 years?

On the other hand Forsberg should make 65pts this year than 70-75pts for the next decade?

I guess for this year I would improve about 20pts at center with Staal (65-70pts) over Lindhom (45-50pts)
But I would lost around 20pts at RW with Yakupov (45pts) instead of Forsberg (65pts) ?

On the long run of course the 7th overall pick would give me an edge without almost losing anything this year. What do you guys think?

I can't believe people don't see this as a huge win for you. Staal, Oshie, and a substantial pick upgrade for a completely unproven guy?

This is not the first time a young forward has started the season on fire, and it will not be the first time one comes crashing down when he finishes with less than 60 points this year. This is one of the most lopsided deals I have seen on here in a while.
