So at the last second, he pulled a bit of a switcheroo and demanded Trouba over Rielly. Obviously I would've preferred sending Rielly but I could tell his phone was ringing from other managers so I just bit and went for it. What says the Interwebz now? Am I still the winner?

Yes for sure. Nicely done! Given the choice I would have rather traded Reilly than Trouba in your setup but Reilly still has a higher offensive ceiling in my opinion. I think you made out like a bandit.
