Player development is rarely hurt by sending a player back for a third year of junior. Conversely, there are countless players whose development has been hurt by being in the NHL too early. I'm not saying he wont make the team. I'm also not arguing that he's not ready for the NHL. Just saying that keeping him in the NHL in a part time capacity doesn't seem like the right decision to me. If he makes it, play him at least in the top 9 consistently. He'll learn nothing by sitting on the bench or in the press box after his 9 game window is up.

We're saying he has to prove it because right now he was played against scrubs or veterans that don't care. If he earns it then no problem.

No doubt. We are talking about the Blues here, not the Islanders. I think they know what they are doing.

Not surprised at all. Wouldn't surprise me either if he made the Blues roster next year. Not sure why he slid to 21st in the draft.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Thread revival. Laidlaw touched on Fabbri this morning...what do you STL followers think about Fabbri's chances this year? Does he beat out Jaskin and Rattie?

Hitch seems pretty happy with his play. How's he looking in camp?

Then he can play in the WJC and return to junior (same thing they did with AP) to play in another Memorial Cup if it is in the cards for Guelph.

We'll find out pretty soon here, but people saying he won't make it because he is a rookie, end of story are out to lunch.
No Chance the Storm will get a sniff of the Mem cup this year. BUT If Fabbri is returned to Junior, from what I'm hearing here in Guelph, he WILL be traded. Guelph is in a Rebuilding year so he'll likely land on a contender in Junior. Still like to see hi. In the Big show though.
