    Default Richards for Iginla

Someone has expressed interest in this trade: My Brad Richards, for his Jerome Iginla- straight up no other factors. To me this seems like a no brainer strictly because of the positional value of a winger over a center. Factor in the question mark of Richards situation and it seems even clearer. Would you do this deal?

I just wanted to add that I have not given up on Richards and do believe he will return to form its more about the positional advantage...

Not sure what your scoring is but Iggy will be better for +/-, PM, and goals. Take him.

jump on it quickly. personally i think this might be a career year for iggy. i know people are thinking i\'m nuts but keenan loves this type of player and he will play him a ton. there is of course the possibility of a personality conflict but i think iggy is a team first guy so it wont happen with them two.

    In my book,

Iginla can easily score 100 pts for the rest of his glorious career.
Richards has the skills, the potential and the will to score 100 pts, but due to various factors, he might top at 85 pts. Richards is stepping up when it\'s important: I will pick him over Iginla ONLY in a playoff pool. You might say he had a 90 pts season, but the glorious days of TB are over!

Reminder: Richards was a third round choice, Iginla a first rounder!

I\'m not really sure why this guy would be interested in this deal... he must think that richards is gonna be HUGE this year... I can\'t believe he\'d trade for him after one of his worst seasons in his career...

Meh... whatever... take iggy and don\'t look back...

except maybe to laugh at the other manager mid way through the season when iggy\'s one of the best wings in the league.

i agree that iginla is the better of the two,but i also have given up a late first round pick for richards who , after doing some research , will hopefully bounce back to his early form and put some strong #,s up.

Richards \'might\' bounce back and be as good as Iginla \'was\' last year.

This one should have been done before you hit the submit button on your post!

Well like I said he has only expressed interest- in fact we cant make any trades until the week of the draft. Im not sure why he would do it personally but he is known for making crazy trades. He actually traded Crosby/Nabakov for Elias/Legwand/Roloson last year...

Wow, well if he did that trade then there is no reason to think he won\'t trade you Iginla for Richards. Heck based on that track record maybe you can get him to throw in some plug like Vanek or something.

How does this guy get players like Crosby, Nabokov, and Iginla in the first place??? He obviously can\'t be trading for them...

I would do that deal in your position...

Good luck if you can get it!
