I traded for Hedman today. I paid a pick swap, 6th round for 10th round and Hedman. League bellow.
I had to let go of Ladd to make room for him, but I think he'll be easier to replace. I now have a great defence duo in Karlsson and Hedman.
Keeping 2 Dman is uncommon in my league, but I felt it was a worthy gamble with Hedman.
Pretty busy offseason, I added D.Sedin, Hedman and Toffoli via trade. Didn't cost me much, other than for Sedin, but that is for next year.

Time to replace Ladd in next week's draft now!

it is tough keeping 2 defensemen with only 6 keepers but at the same time the choice between Hedman and Ladd would be easy for me

I agree that it's tough keeping 2 defensemen. Even if I have Karlsson, I wanted to draft a top end defensemen 6th overall, but after checking around, I found out that most of the top 10 defensemen will be kept. The only real top end Dmen available would have been Hedman and I doubt he would have fell to 6th. So with a swap of 6th round pick, I think it was a deal I had to take. Great risk/reward imo.
Last year I felt that a 2nd good dmen was missing from my team (an elite centermen too after Stamkos injury.)
