Loss by less than a point

Who else was burned this week by less than a point? This week I lost 134.62-134.88. 0.26 POINTS!!!! Fitzgerald just had to catch that one pass to let the other guy beat me. 4 targets, 1 catch for 22 yards. Couldn’t have been a catch for 19 yards!

This was my first week of fantasy football and 3 matchups in a 10 team league were decided by less than 1 point. I assumed this was common, but maybe not?

Not unheard of, just annoying. Like when you win a week by 1 point, then Tuesday roles around and you lose the week on a stat correction; that level of annoying.

Football is a bit different than other sports because it’s a win or a loss. So it will only help out in a tie breaker. At least in Baseball you could lose 7-6-1 and still get 6 points.

I won one of my matchups by 0.1 points. If Keenan Allen caught that easy ball on 4th and 2 I would have lost by 0.2 or 0.3 points. Needless to say I was losing it watching that drive.

I won my matchup this week by 60pts.
Julius, Megatron, Cordarelle... with even Knowshon & Cooks on my bench.
It was a good week.
But I still feel like I might need to upgrade from Josh McCown... hmmmm.

My entire household of girls was yelling at me to join them for dinner at the end of the Tier I Dobber draft and I totally fugged myself on getting a QB.
I also meant to late draft one (every strategy guide I read said it would be simple this year) and then teams in my league start taking all the good back-ups before I could get one.
Ended up with McCown by auto-draft.
14-team league so almost everybody is owned.

Heck... Eli Manning is owned!

My choices for Week 2 (w/Yahoo projections):
McCown (v. STL). Proj 15.80pts [My current rostered QB.]
EJ Manuel (v. MIA). Proj 15.80pts
Fitzpatrick (@ OAK). Proj 15.77pts
Cassel (v. NE). Proj 15.50pts

Then Henne, Hoyer, Carr, A.Davis.
And that's it for starters.
I've also had offers for decent QB2s, won't state names, but "QB2"s... for Brandon Cooks, my WR4, but I don't want to do it.
Rather ride a back-up QB with good match-up.

I went 4-1 this weekend.. 2 of my wins was by more then 57 points..

Not completely his fault, by the NYG offense (line + backs) are just awful.
He's got nothing to do out there.

It is completely his fault. Tons of teams have offensive line and backfield issues and still preform better than Eli. He's completely done.

Look at Hoyer if Gordon is back. EJ looked realllllyyyy good. Cassel should get some chemistry with Cordarrelle, boost his numbers over the season.

My tips would be stick with McCown because he’s got some big guys and in the redzone they’ll toss the ball. And he can only get better than last week right? Watch the Bills game and see how EJ plays, don’t go off points, but actually how he plays. He looked very confident last week, especially in the OT.

Last year was my first season in fantasy football. I swear that happened to me so many times last year.

I really prefer fantasy hockey.. just seems to be less of a luck factor.
