Do I Go for This Year?

In my league I’m 6^th/10 teams right now, so I’m last playoff spot. I can either make a push with some trades and go for the win, or settle back and go for next yr. I have interest in Braun by other teams making the push. Someone said Wacha + for Braun, but I don’t think that’s enough. I said Wacha and Rizzo (he has Adrian Gonzalez as his other 1^st base) but he laughed at me lol. When Braun is on his game he can literally win me a week (which helps during playoffs) so I don’t want to give him up for nothing. The guy came back and offered Rios and Wacha for Braun but I don’t need help in OF.

I should add I’m only 3 games behind my division leader for 2^nd and 1^st and 2^nd place team get a bye. Also we do a different draft order set up to eliminate tanking (positions are based on playoff results)

Based on the way your draft order is set up, I would encourage you to go for it but also make trades to make yourself a little better for next season in the process. Perhaps you can swing a deal like: Wacha + Rizzo for Braun + Morneau. In all likelihood, your pitching will have to be unreal in the playoffs for you to advance, but a trade like that would help bolster your staff and a weakness at 1B going into next year without hurting your chances to compete this season.

i sent the offer. fingers crossed. My team is literally band-aided together. especially the pitching staff. Doesn't help that Homer Bailey has been pitching through a buldged disk in his neck all season.
