And it's the Skydome sir! none of this Rogers BS

So I guess the plan is to install refurbished artificial turf for the next three seasons then go grass for the 2018 season. http://www.bluebirdbanter.com/2014/2...ays-to-play-on

The big thing with the turf is that maybe, just maybe the front office would recognize the fact that playing on the turf leads to more injuries making depth even more important for this team than most. Build things like the A's with numerous options at every position though perhaps not all-stars they could have better weathered these mid-season injuries.

I would say. They sucked me back in to watching them when they went on their run the past couple weeks but after losing a series to TB and Baltimore man handling them this week, I think you can put the fork in them.

I don't like this. He apparently got fined too i remember seeing on a TheScore mobile phone notification. I personally would of liked to see a fine for a first offence. Did i miss him getting in trouble before?

He was a nice asset with Chicago, but not sure that's hes much of an upgrade over the kid and grizzled vet they currently have. I think there's a bigger move to be made, just not sure what it is yet.

Kind of surprised Smoak, Dirks and the other guy weren't qualified and now become FAs. Aren't the Jays kind of in need of some depth?? I know it cleared $6.2 mill or whatever so they could be prepping for something bigger.....

And they still have depth issues, as another poster said.
Plus big holes elsewhere in their lineup (2nd base and LF especially). I'm also not sold on a Pompey/Pillar platoon in center. Seriously... THAT is our center field strategy? Neither of them is as good as Gose defensively and neither has proven anything with the stick yet either.
Oh, and NO CLOSER in the pen.
    Yikes.

    Lots of work to do.

Love the Donaldson and Martin moves though. Contenders have stud catchers. Simple as that.
Even if you have to overpay for him, I support it. The only downside is that Navarro actually had a solid year last year, and they've now pissed him off. Hopefully they can flip him for a 2nd baseman!
On the plus side, it's only December, with a number of big name pitchers available via trade or free agency. Of course, going after those names come with a whole set of troubles and it seems unlikely that the Jays get one. I'd prefer to see them buying at the bottom of the barrel looking for bounceback candidates.

Also, the bullpen, while extremely important, is one of the easiest things to rebuild over night.
