Time to start getting excited about Baseball and the Jays!
Really interested to see how Moreno can do in the big leagues. Catcher has got to be the hardest position to be called up to, soo much scouting, and thinking and trying to fit with pitchers you know are big-leaguers.

Jays are in a good spot, 3rd best record in the AL, unfortunately the Yankees are currently on another planet, .714 winning percentage is just unreal, If the Jays keep playing solid baseball and the Yankees come back to earth perhaps we get a pennant race this season.

This happens every year. There's always a team playing unreal in that division... and it's never the Jays

Jays are a top 5 team. With 3 of their 5 starters essentially struggling all yr (Berrios, Ryu, Kikuchi), and a BP that's questionable outside of like 2-3guys. Berrios looked like he's sorted himself out last game, and that's amazing if he does. Stripling has stepped up. No word on Pearson (Moved to 60dayIL recently, paper transaction). Jays are pretty thin right now at SP.

The annoying thing for me this yr is that the Brewers are winning. I was really hoping for a down yr so they move Hader.

Some top guys who are UFA's in 2023 who could be on the block:
    - Chapman. He's unneeded with the Yankees, but he's also like 34yrs old and hasn't had a good couple of yrs
    - Kenley Jansen. Atlanta is just hovering above 500.
    - Familia. Having a decent season with the Phillies, who suck at everything not offense.
    - Fulmer. Detroit. UFA. 2.57ERA. He'll get moved.
    - Ian Kennedy. Arizona. UFA. 3.32ERA. He could get moved unless Arizona bursts

Just some early guys I'm looking at. But its week 9 or 10, it's so early still.

LOL. Isn't this the truth. If you somehow find a year where the both the Yankees and Red Sox are struggling you run into a Tampa Rays team that is at .625 winning percentage with like a $25 million total payroll.
    The AL East is unforgiving.

It really is. Last year it was Boston coming out of no where to ruin things. Not that the Yanks are out of nowhere but I don't think people expected the best record in the League.

If they don't send Collins down, I assume the games get split up like
    Kirk catching - 3-4games
    Collins catching - 1-2 games
    Moreno catching - 1-2games

All mixed into DH to hit when not catching. Moreno prolly isn't in todays game, but maybe Saturday.

Yep you can't take Kirk out of the lineup right now. Hope for a sweep this weekend.

I'm going to my first game since probably 2019 on Thursday. Can't wait.

Bit surprised it was Collins sent down but makes sense if you truly believe in moreno.

And remember there are still the $5 dugout deals at the SkyDome if you're going there. But it's only in 2 sections so hopefully you're by them if $5.50 (freaking inflation eh) beer is up your alley. The food is pointless for adults in these things. Don't even bother with water bottles there, they're like 200ml. Just bring your own empty one.

$5 dugout deals??? I assume you have to be sitting in those sections to qualify?

Ryu is out for the yr with TJS. But they don't know if it's a partial tear or full tear. SUCKS. The worst part is they have no pitching depth now and Kikuchi is not working out right now, and Montoyo has lost all faith in him it looks like. Throw. Freaking. Strikes. With. Your. Fastball. Like he refuses to do it for a knockout pitch.

Moreno looks like an MLBer already

    Jays are allergic to sweeps.

Romano's last save was May 31 and since then he's only pitched on June 7, 12 and 15. Is something up? Or is Charlie just really sticking to roles.

Nice comeback yesterday, but I hated the bat drop from Teoscar. Just play ball boys. It wasn't even a walk off and the Yankees have been kicking your ass all weekend.
