Rumour is it's for 2 prospects, 1 being Kevin Smith (25yr old SS/3B, 9th ranked in their prospect system) and rumoured to not include Moreno (#1 ranked) and Martinez (#2 ranked).

Chapman's defense makes their infield so much better all around. His offense is ok, strikesout a lot but hits homers, walked a bit, but not has protection around him that he's never seen. Can he change his 220 average to 250? That would make him an absolute steal.

I love the move because of his defense, but if he can improve his offense a little, that's nuts.

Jays still need a LHB, could get Schwarber still, could get someone like Rosario for defense again tho.

Now Arash is saying pessimistic about getting Schwarber. I do agree they need a leftie somewhere but I love this defensive upgrade.

I'd assume it does. And obviously removes them from Ramirez. These 3 will be compared all yr I would think.

I would love the story of Freeman to leak out and how close the Jays were over the last 24hrs.

To Oakland - Hoglund (#4 Jays Prospect RHP), Smith (#9 Jays Prospect SS/3B), Logue (25yr old LHP), and Snead (27yr old LHP).

Snead was the long haired RP last yr. Hoglund was their 2021 #19 overall pick. He should have gone higher but he had TJS. Smith wasn't going to get an MLB opportunity with the Jays just with Bo, Groshan, Biggio, and Martinez but def deserved an MLB shot somewhere. Logue...no idea who he is.
