Seriously. This could not have gone worse. I didn't even do my happiness hedge bet this time! Wonder what $20 on Cleveland today would have net with Merritt going.

As much fun as it was watching this year's team. I won't miss Bautista or Dickey at all. Can't stand the whining and constant excuses.

    I Suppose so.

Dickey did nothing wrong other than fail To produce at 40+

But Bautista just couldn't stop His rediculous banter about what he deserves, to The never ending bit he by about the umps to a An I'll Advised slag of the rookie opposing pitcher that made him look Foolish again... he's only back if he once again takes a huge discount.

    Sad really

This team still has a stacked rotation going into next year. Even if they lose Bautista, they will be competitive next year. I do hope they bring Edwin back though.

I have been thinking the same thing. Just as long as they leave enough money to resign Donaldson the year after.

Too bad for the Jays. Luckily we have a whole hockey season ahead of us.

He's been doing that his entire tenure in Toronto. It just gets annoying to fans when he's not jacking bombs in an elimination game.

Wonder what this series would have been like if the Dome was open (hate to always lean on that as an excuse) because how many of those flyouts to the wall would have at least hit the wall last night?

Time to invest in some BP arms that aren’t 37+yrs old. They’ll need some good arms next yr with Liriano as a SP who gets into trouble after the 1st go around. I would seriously consider Melancon and go with a 2-headed monster of Osuna/Melancon and use both as a closer/setup if they can. Melancon was doing the setup/closing role in Washington when they acquired him.

I’m very curious if management is going to turn into a contact speed team that tries to out pitch you.

RW: Pavelski (C), Giroux (C), Svechnikov (LW)
D: Fox, Makar, Bouchard, Morrissey, Gudas

That seems to be what beat them last year (KC) and again this year in the ALCS.

It’s also the way Shapiro built his last team (Cleveland).

I wouldn’t be opposed to signing Neil Walker (2B), Melacon (CP), and resign Navarro (C). Get some depth in the BP (McGowen {yes that guy, he had a good yr}). Yes Travis is good, but always hurt and who knows how he can recover from this one. Goins is great defensively, but he regressed a lot at the bat. Toronto’s OF can be set with Zeke/Saunders, Pillar, Upton/Saunders. If they went out and got Dexter Fowler and moved Fowler or Pillar to RF, omg that’s an insane OF defensively (letting Saunders walk tho).
