This reminds me of the Winter Classic in Michigan. Took a 50 person bus over from Toronto and were making good time but we were stopped at the border because they found a bag of weed on the bus. They made us stand outside in the cold and asked someone to please admit to it or they weren't going to let us through. Eventually they let us back on the bus and we literally sat there for 2 hours. It was like some Children of the Flies shit...people starting getting real angry and just yelling at this person that no one knew who it was. No one stood up though. Eventually the owner of the tour bus company came back from Ann Arbor and gave an impassioned speech about never having this issue and begging the person to come forward or he'd have to pay a $10,000 fine. No one stood up. We missed most of the first period in a snow storm and the ride home was no joke....13 hours from Ann Arbour to Toronto. It was a nightmare.

What about the hundreds (I dunno, maybe thousands!) of idiots last year in the ALDS who all tossed their cans onto the field?
That was way worse.

The thing is, people have been killed with smaller objects to the head. Not saying it could have killed him, but yeah, it could have. When an idiot drinks too much, he just becomes a bigger idiot.

I dunno man...this was during the game as he's trying to catch the ball. Imagine if it caused him to miss the ball? What happens then? Could have been a huge mess.

Last year was just plan old sore, drunk losers lashing out during a time out becuase they didn't know what was going on. Not many people did.

They're both very bad. Just because one might be worse than the other does lessen the severity of this. It's also a disturbing pattern of behavior from Toronto sports fans.

The Jays issued an official apology to the Orioles and to MLB.
The criminal will be found and banned from the stadium.
This incident will (very soon) be forgotten forever. There's no "pattern" of anything here.

2 years in a row you've had similar incidents. That's a pattern.

I would also question this similarity, of which you speak. These incidents were very different.
But I try to be brief with people specifically trying to antagonize. Especially when they do it with such disturbing arrogance.

Jays fans have been going to games for decades, after all.
Not just 2 years. Thousands of games over that time.
I think I need to see more than 2 recent incidents of idiocy to confidently call it a "disturbing pattern."

In the meantime, what's the next number in this sequence? 4,8, ...
