Stuck inside today because it's pouring rain. Why the hell are the Jays not scheduled to play a day game at home on Victoria Day when most Canadians have the day off work? They don't play at all, scheduling fail.

That's what happens when you're the lone Canadian team in the league.

I liked seeing them finally score some runs on 2outs. That’s where they were really good at last yr. 2out rallies. Tulo/Travis injury/health happened pretty fortunately, but I feel for Barney. Helps he can play 3B so Donaldson can DH and they still get him in the lineup tho.

Because of Barney’s utility ability (3B, SS{Not great tho}, and 2B) makes him an easy stay on the team. I would not agree with Zaun saying, “he needs to be in the lineup”. Travis needs to be in because hitting sucks, Goins at SS because he’s so much better. Barney will get in the lineup with the use of Donaldson on DH, and Travis prolly getting eased into the starting lineup.

That was the best game of the year so far and if they let it this could be a big turning point in their season.

I only got to see the 9th inning and it was nice watching another teams bullpen blow one for a change. Nice win for the Jays.

Curious to see what their record was last year with the dome open vs closed. They seem to be a much better team with the dome open and under the warm skies. The place just buzzes more imo. Think the ball carries better open no?

There were a few general stats in the Globe and Mail this morning.
Overall record at the Rogers Centre: 1162-965
    With roof open: 629-539 (.538%)
    With roof closed: 463-380 (.549%)

I don't think having the dome open or closed should make a big difference (and it doesn't seem to). For individual performances however, having the dome open or closed may make a difference, like having the dome closed for Dickey. Not sure where you could easily find numbers for that.

Tough loss today... I feel like I wasted 7 hours of my day at that game (came early to get the bobblehead).

I don't know what's more frustrating... our joke of a bullpen which continually finds new ways to lose games, or our lack of ability to score with RISP (stranded runners in the 6th, 7th and 8th innings consecutively).

Bullpen pitched 5 innings of shutout ball yesterday. Can't ask for much more.

If you consider walking the very first batter you face with the bases loaded to give up the go-head run at the most critical point in the game "shutout ball" then sure...

But yes, I agree... yesterday's loss was on the bats. No excuse for stranding RISP in 3 straight innings that late in the game. All they needed was one-freaking-single and they couldn't deliver.

Bats need to get going. Blayze is right about the RISP.....it's supposed to be an elite lineup.
