Vlad Jr. is going to be in the Home Run Derby. Guess I'll watch at least part.

If he Dad is not pitching to him that's a mistake.

if he throws strikes like he swung at them... Perhaps someone else throwing is the smart decision.

Maybe Edwin Jackson should be throwing to him, his homerun/pitch rate is really high when he's not trying to throw meatballs.

God this team sucks. At what point do we look at whether something needs to be done about the hitting situation. I know average isn't the best measure to look at but even when you look at the OPS numbers...woof.

They seem to be actually not doing terrrrible lately. In the month of June (23 games) they've averaged 4.8 runs and 6 runs over the last 14 games and not to mention scoring 5 runs as of right now in todays game.

I am actually enjoying watching the Blue Jays. I have accepted the fact that they will lose a lot more than they win but their future looks pretty good with some of these guys and i think that is why i am enjoying the games. Watching them improve.

Sounds like Stroman deal very close.
Braves for 2 or 3 prospects.
Good riddance assuming they got pitching help back.

Personally, I hate the fact they are trading Stroman. They have next to no pitching prospects in the system who are even close to being a viable option and maybe ONE legit pitching prospect worth getting excited about but hes years away. Stroman is a guy who should be the rock of that rotation for years and hes young enough that he can be. It's sad that they haven't done enough to bring in anyone to support him so now they have to trade one of their best assets to hopefully bring in someone who will be as good as he is today, at some point down the road. Seems counter productive but it's more about not paying Stroman as it is anything else.

They have done a good job work building their infield to the point now where they don't have room for everyone to play. They need to deal one of them for young pitchers, not trading a young All-Star pitcher for pitching.
