Safe to say, if Happ is dealt, and it's to someone other then the Yankees, then the Yanks weren't willing to part with someone like Clint Frazier or Justus Sheffield for him. Not that I can blame the Yankees for not wanting to part with those two. One would have to assume that is who the Jays would be chasing from NY. Not saying Happ is worth that, but that is who I'd be asking for if I was in the Jays mgmt position.

Boston OPS vs Righties is like 0.812, their OPS against lefties is like 0.675. If the Yankees wanna go with a leftie pitcher, it's really Happ or no one.

Yankees and Mariners should be HEAVILY going after Happ, as the East goes through Boston (and Yankees) right now. Happ checks the boxes for the Yankees too:
    -Pitches in the ALEast
    -Playoff Pitcher
    -Strike Thrower
    -Leftie
    -Durable
    -Clubhouse guy
-Able to perform after a trade (when he went to Pitts a few yrs ago)

Wow what a nice catch by Grichuk to save them the ball game (potentially). 0 out, runners on 1 and 2 and he jumped at the wall to make the catch.

Grichuk totally stole the thunder from Granderson last night.

It's crazy how far you can hit the ball when you use your legs in the swing Grichuk.

Jays have acquired SS Santiago Espinal from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for OF Steve Pearce and cash considerations

Not a highly ranked prospect but I didnt expect one in return for Pearce.

Where did you see this? I just read this on The Athletic about him:

Generally not featured on top prospects lists (he is not currently in the Red Sox’ top 30 at MLB Pipeline, and didn’t make preseason top tens at Baseball America, Baseball Prospectus, ESPN, nor was he among Fangraphs’ top 19 Red Sox prospects), Espinal did make an appearance in Carson Cistulli’s “Fringe Five” column back on May 11, after he exceeded his 2017 home run output (4) through just his first 133 plate appearances of this season.

I think it depends on the Prospect list you look at.

But ya, he's nothing special as of right now.

Not that this should come as a surprise but...

Source tells me the Blue Jays appear close to moving J.A. Happ.
