LOL! To be faiiiiir (P7), it wasn't Mae that I had read about the signing so she wasn't the only one reporting it. I got it from Ken Rosenthal.

Ken got it from Mae lol.

All the major guys got it from Mae, or from someone who got it from Mae. To be fairrrrrr there was un-verified people saying Jays got Brantley before Mae said it.

Ken Rosenthal is one I trust so I was surprised to see he pooched that. He's normally pretty reliable. I guess no one is right all the time.

I think he trusted the report when Mae reported it. She's pretty tied in, and a local reporter, so for a guy like Brantley, Rosenthal prolly isn't as tied in as other people.

But Ya, when Rosenthal and Passan reported it, I figured it was a done deal. Rare both get the report wrong.

There was a lot of "sources" saying he was going to Toronto. I still think Hazel Mae made it the big thing though due to her cache in Toronto.

Whatever though splitting hairs at this point.

It's even weirder that Brantley wasn't even close to signing with Toronto according to "sources".
