So many players getting hurt makes me wonder if thats from a smaller spring training or the Jays training staff is terrible.
I've been wondering about the latter for years. Seems like they always have issues but I don't think we'd have the data to do substantial research.

Apparently leg issues have decreased while they were in Toronto when they made the base lines in the infield dirt and removed the turf. Wonder if there's stats for the team on injuries accured in Dunedin. Maybe the equipment isn't MLB level, maybe the weather is different and the staff isn't used to that. It's a tough thing to try and nail down tho.

It wasn't 1-0, but it still worked out for you.

Matz seemed pretty angry about being lifted after giving up 5er. Wonder what the reasoning behind his anger is because I think if you give up 5er, you understand why you're lifted

I'm confident he was mad at himself there, not mad for getting pulled.

I would say it's prolly a month of IL for him. I rather them go a 2 weeks longer in the IL stint than bring him back early again.

Jays have enough depth at OF that it doesn't really effect the team as much as a longer 3rd IL stint if he comes in early.

Ya he was limping on the Saturday game, and I was like, "Oh he shouldn't be playing tmo. They should def be sitting him." and then I saw him playing Sunday and was shocked.

The big thing was letting Springer tell the team when he was ready, and he thought he was enough to hit. It could have been living up to the contract persuasion, but at least the team is willing to allow him to be ready.

He threw only 18 innings last year before being shutdown, so he might not pitch more than 3-4 innings per start for a while; Anthony Kay supposed to be his bulk reliever.
