Alight, I'm back in the driver seat and ready to roll. After a year's absence, the CMFFC is back! Rules for this August will be simple. First poster to hit 350 posts in the month of August wins the cup. The more fluff the better. There are no prizes, only bragging rights and some rep will be awarded. May the best poster win. Now Visine those eyes, fluff the bum cushion and BenGay those wrists, and get typing.....but on August 1st.

Once upon a time... the "month" count started at 8pm Eastern of the previous day.
I wonder if that still exists. Has anybody kept track?

I remember this because somebody was going for monthly count "record" once and they got stonewalled at 8pm on the final day of month and were like *WTF*?

Reminder to self to check at 8:01pm Eastern on Monday, July 31st and see if the posts are counting into "August".

Yes, yes it does cut off at a weird time.

I cannot confirm 100% if it is 8:00 Eastern time.

But I do recall The Comish making a run a 1000 posts in a month to get the avatar that goes along with that.
And he came up just shy because his posts in the evening of the last day of the month were not counted.

Haha awesome guys! I did not stop at 499 on purpose either. I should have paid more attention to my post count and yes, I thought I had a little more time tonight. I am not looking forward to trying for 500 again. It will have to be another 31 day month, however, note to self, time cut off is 8 pm EST.

That was from July 2018... so that's my most recent confirmation.

I have noticed times since then where its the evening of the last day and I check post counts for the month and people at the top of the leader board are at like three.

So my best guess is that is is still the same.

The last option on the blue on is 'Top Posters this Month

Click on that and you can see a monthly post count.
Then you can change the month and year to see history.

I don't know what he was eating that year... but holy cow.

From memory, the month record was quite the chase in 2014-2016.
I think it was at 1100 or 1200... then FastTony, then vitun-thyna, then Axe, then rangerfan2430... and eventually EskimoBrother took turns holding it.

1000 posts itself, in a month, is bonkers.
Averages out to 33 a day. Pretty brutal.
Gotta throw down a bunch of one-liners... hence "Fluff Month": August.

The cool little gold FIFA-like trophy icon that some of us have is from 1000+ posts in a month.

Yeah, the rookie classes haven't been all that prodigious volume-wise, but that's definitely not everything and there have been some great additions.

2016 was my last full calendar year in university (graduated 2017), and my last school year I was only part-time to finish my degree, so a lot of free time, and it was easier to constantly be on it class but still keep up with only three per semester instead of the seven I had most semesters prior.

Yes it was. He was going for 500 and I think finished in the 497-499 range.
