Havent ben to impressed with him since he broke into the Canucks roster. Also don't see him cracking a deep Minnesota squad. Looks to me like another undersized player bites the dust.
Career AHL'er unless he goes to Europe..

I sometimes wonder if teams make these signings just to prevent other teams from signing the asset in question and using him against them. Minnesota has too deep a lineup to allow Shroeder to see much NHL action this year or next, but at least teams like Colorado, Dallas and Nashville can't have him now.
Thoughts?

Injuries killed it for him. Any time he got any sort of momentum he was knocked out for two months. Then he comes back rusty and missing that development, behind the eight-ball, can't get back on track again (and when he did, he got hurt again)

Sooooo, do you think he's worth holding onto or should I dump him and chase a better prospect this year, why a 2 year deal if he's garbage?
Didn't you say before that he was the replacement for Hodgson when the Nucks shipped him out? Do you still think he's got that potential or are you reneging on that now? The Wild roster looks awfully full right now to me, I don't see any room for him.
"Wil" - LOL, when I first saw this thread I thought this was saying he signed in Europe.
It's too bad that he didn't end up having more of an impact in the NHL. Two-way deal is the writing on the wall (likely) for his future. Still has a chance, but not much of one.
