Getting to 1000 posts a month is easy - saying something meaningful in each one makes it not so easy. Profound credit to anyone hitting a 1000 quality posts a month - don't think I could do it, even in my prime.

I don't think it's possible. There will always be some "fluff" posts in there.

Yeah maybe Doulos, but defining fluff posts is hard. Congratulating a guy on a posting milestone isn't fluff, weighing in on a thread by simply saying 'I agree with Shoeless here.' Isn't fluff when you are a respected poster - you still did the analysis to come to that statement and the concurrence has merit in it's own right. I have been watching your posts this month for instance and there have been a lot of them and I haven't seen any fluff.

But yeah I suppose you are right - there will be the few posts of dubious merit in that 1000 - it's inevitable.

Certain times are probably easier than most to get 1000 posts. First month of the season, trade deadline, home stretch, draft, July 1 as examples. It's definitely not the type of milestone you can bang out in the middle of August. Maybe I'll give it a try once I get more comfortable around the forums, but I doubt I have 1000 posts worth of quality knowledge/opinions in one month

I'm not disagreeing at all. Not everything I post here is going to be 100% pure hockey advice that I have sweat over using my fantasy hockey calculator.

I'm having fun this month though and digging into a lot more posts than I have in a long time, so I suppose that's not a bad thing.

It's a good thing - ''when 1 teaches, 2 learn'' in normal situations - and on the forums, so many more can benefit.

Only William Wallace and Chuck Norris as far as I'm aware. Oh, and Lance Armstrong, but I heard he was doped on EPO at the time.
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.

Oh yeah! I'm definitely going to have at least 800 fluffers this month.
I do (it's true) want that little FIFA looking trophy for 1000 posts in a month.
Plus, I logged 100+ posts on July 1st knowing that would be an exciting day.
But... fugg... the rate is almost impossible, 33 posts a day for 31 days... man... I'm not sure.
I've definitely need to get into a one-line zinger thread.

But I did post a 2014-2015 strategy that I actually had to CUT BACK to get under 10,000 word count!
That's probably a 100post count thread right there.

This one itself is too long... gotta get back to those one-line zingers!

    Ba.... zinga!

    Ba-zinga!

What the heck... I guess if I'm the only one to post it just keeps tacking on!

Damn it... clever, clever new forum software!

You can do it, Pengwin. Been enjoying your posts a lot this month - not much fluff there, pal. In my experience, summer isn't the best time to go for that mark, not as much raw material to work with. Small hint, when you post your strategic monolith, break it down into much smaller chunks and post them in succession.
