    Default Nick Holden

    Hey folks;

Our Free Agent Draft is being held tomorrow, and I'm looking to boost my defensive depth by grabbing a couple of young-ish defencemen.

Free Agent Draft allows you to take anyone currently unclaimed who is over the age of 24.

The draft is a snake, and I have the last pick of the first round, and the fist pick of the second (13th & 14th)

These are the defencemen out there right now - some of the good ones (Niskanen) are going to be gone long before pick #13, but I'm hoping that other teams will take enough Forwards and Goalies that these guys will still be out there:

    Name: FP/G (2013-14) My Concern:

Nick Holden 1.71 (Does Stuart push him too far down the depth chart?)
Jake Muzzin 1.33 (Was his playoff performance a one-off?)
Jason Demers 1.39 (Is he the go-to guy now that Dan Boyle is gone?)
Alec Martinez 1.50 (Does he have a "next gear" or is 1.50 his ceiling?)
Matt Irwin 1.27 (Is Demers more likely to benefit from Boyle's absence?)
Michael Stone 1.52 (Great peripherals, can he contribute more offensively?)
Radko Gudas 1.67 (Do the additions of Stralman and Garrison bury him next year?)
Nikita Nikitin: 0.89 (Can he recapture 2011-12, when he was 1.76 FP/G, with the Oilers?)
Kris Russell 1.92 (Total flash in the pan, or could he repeat this sort of year?)

Or should I just go with a cheap rental Old Guy:

    Name: FP/G (2013-14)

Kimmo Timonen 1.80 (Is there ANY tread left on the tires?)
Lubomir Visnovsky 1.66 (Same as above, plus he can't seem to stay healthy)
Kevin Bieksa 1.58 (Does the departure of Garrison make him fantasy relevant again?)
Marek Zidlicky 1.76 (Can he hold off Gelinas for one more year?)

Thanks guys & gals - I know its a HUGE wall of text, but give me your thoughts on Holden, and maybe a Top 5 of the rest.

I like Bieksa for a bounce back couple of seasons. I'm not too versed on any of those younger dmen but none of them seem attractive to me whatsoever.
