How to post a pol??

Can someone tell me how to post a poll. When I try to post a new thread and put in how many questions I wnt in a poll, nothing happens. How do I actually type in my poll choices?

Also how do I do a search that shows the players name in posts only, not forum topics. I've tried advanced search but can't figure it out.
If I put a player's name in for instance I only get a list of forum topics and some have pages and pages of replies which is too time consuming to go through.

What am I doing wrong?

when you are creating a new thread, scroll to the bottom you will see additional options. make sure the box is ticked for "post a poll", and include how many options you want for the poll. then i think you submit and the next page lets you add the options for each poll.
