Scoring wingers to eventually replace the guys currently flanking Sid and Geno are definitely good picks.

Darn it. I wanted Goldobin to fall to Montreal, but Boston took him one pick early.

Any reason why, when you read the posts, it says that Colorado selected Vrana but in the list at the beginning it says they took Nikita Scherbak ??

Not sure the Penguins need to be taking another Esposito.

Are you implying that they will trade Ho-Sang for a rental that will get them deep in the playoffs?

Each scout will take turns making their best guess at who their team's real-world GM would pick at that spot.

They will then analyze whether it was the pick they hoped for, what the fantasy impact is, the prospect's upside, closeness to making it and projected team role in an article to be posted after the draft.

This is a goldmine for those of you who, like me, haven't been doggedly following the 2014 draft class all year. This is an opportunity to debate who the best teams are for a player to go to, fantasy wise, and what ripple-effects each pick might have. This is also your chance to talk to the scouts behind picks that might look just as befuddling as the ones NHL GM's make. Mock the mockers, and see if you can get some information for your own prospect draft!

In addition to our scouts, the Rambling Metaldude Steve Laidlaw, Head Guru Brendan Ross, and Dobber himself will be taking part.

The first overall pick has already been made, and will be posted up in an hour or so.

    Let the mocking begin!

Here are the picks so far: http://forums.dobbersports.com/showt...ck-Draft-Picks
Im confused, in the other thread you are posting the picks, which is great, but why are you also saying "Florida, Buffalo, Edmonton, etc, etc, are proud to select................" ??

I figure it's because no one can post replies on that thread so he has to write in the other guys' picks because they can't.

I was a bit surprised, but if he can be anything like his dad, Brendan will be a must have for any NHL team, especially in the playoffs!

My bad! Right after he made the pick, he changed his mind. I changed it in the original post, but not there. Vrana is still available.

Yup! I figure it would be easier if the picks were in one thread, and the discussion in the other. Having a new post also makes it easier for guys to know when to check what the pick was.
